Fiscal Agent Services
JEVS Fiscal Agent Services provides administrative support that assists participants in managing and directing their own self-directed services. These services empower and train individuals in their role as employers by providing the ongoing assistance and prompt customer support needed to manage their individual service plan.
What can JEVS Supports for Independence Fiscal Agent Services do for you?
JEVS SFI gives you the ability to hire your own employees for your personal care needs, without worrying about processing employee paperwork. We give control and choice over your services and support you every step of the way.
Services Include
- Orientation to the program for you and your employees
- Assistance with setting you up as an employer so you can hire personal care assistants to meet your needs
- Payroll processing and year-end employer filing requirements
- Securing and maintaining workers’ compensation insurance
- Managing taxes and unemployment compensation
- Maintaining participant's and their employee's records in accordance with local, state and federal requirements
- Tracking and reporting individual consumer budget activity
- A competitive pay rate for your employees
- Human Resources support including helping you find a personal care assistant to fit your needs
- Completing reference and background checks
- A phone activated time and attendance system to ensure accuracy in recording hours worked and payment processing
- A convenient call in system to confirm the hours your personal care assistant has worked

JEVS Supports for Independence offers a free Consumer Directed Training Series for all individuals who receive our Self-Directed Services.
Consumer Directed Training
The JEVS SFI Consumer Directed Training Series supports program participants in their role as employers. This one of a kind training consists of video and written components that cover 11 topics essential to creating an effective relationship between the participant and his or her assistant. This training is the result of a team effort involving important contributions from self-directing participants, assistants, and SFI staff.
Eligibility
In order to receive JEVS Supports for Independence’s fiscal agent services you must be eligible for one of the following programs.

JEVS Supports for Independence is dedicated to meeting your needs in a variety of languages. Our bilingual staff will create a supportive environment in which participants with limited English proficiency can have questions answered and their needs met.
